She maybe cheap, but she isn't evil.

The name Bree Sharp was brought to my attention, due to it being constantly top of the list of recommendations on my last.fm page for some time now. Quite why I’ve ignored her* for so long and what finally possessed me to actually check her out is a mystery. I’m funny like that. Look how long it was for me to aknowledge the wonder that is Polly Paulusma for example. Anyway, it turns out Ms Sharp’s a bit of a pop-rocker with a pleasant voice and a decent set of tunes spread over two studio CDs and a live record. Mind you, she’s not done anything new since 2004, thus once again proving how on the ball and cutting edge I am. I’ve checked her official website and she does still seem to be touring so not fallen completely off the musical map like some. [Anyone know what ever happened to Shea Segar?] Oh and there’s an new EP, but it's doesn't seem to be availble to buy - go figure.

Don’t judge her totally from just this video, which looks like it was directed by and for FHM/Maxim, but sex sells folks or how else would you explain the success of those paragons of feminist empowerment The Pussycat Dolls?

*Any suggestions that this is maybe because she’s not a red-head will be treated with the contempt they deserve.

don't get me started on the pussycat dolls... or rather, do, but give me access to an arsenal first.

Whilst acknowledging that sex does indeed sell, I have a simple rule of thumb [which I have tried to drum into Mat NoShame Wood] that there is an inverse relationship between the amount of talent and flesh on display.

Apart from in the case of Jenny Lewis, who is extremely good and should not be discouraged from her hotpant-wearing proclivities...

Yes indeed, but I put it to you m'lud that said Ms Lewis, whilst looking very fetching indeed in said hotpants, manages at the same time not to appear as if styled by a blind 70's pimp.
