Please Sir, Can I Have Some More?

I’ve left the commentary on the Westminster shenanigans to those who know better. As someone who is aware of the political situation on Italy, the level of “theft” is, quite frankly, very British. What annoyed me was not that they fiddled their expenses [who doesn’t] or the amounts involved or the weird and wonderful items being claimed. No what really, really pissed me off was the weaselly excuses that they gave, which basically boiled down to them being either nasty little liars or just plain stupid. My vote goes for both of the above.

The reason I bring this up at all, is this wonderful picture from the BeauBoD’or blog relating to that audious gnome Hazel Blears and her volte-face following her resignation. Now returning to her constituency of Salford and claiming to be sorry for being a nasty money grabbing back stabber, but could she keep her job? Pretty please?


Well Blears, I hope you do get deselected. You are major part of the reason that so many voters stayed home last week and we ended up with two BNP MEPs. Do the decent thing and go quietly. Unlike many of us, at least you’ll get a decent pension
